Roderick W.J. Bowers, Ph.D.

Dr. Bowers has over twenty years experience with proven results in the Medical Device and Healthcare Industries at all levels of Corporate Management. He has significant breath of experience in the design, development and commercialization of healthcare products based on technology innovation, working with Small technology Start Up's to Multinational and Global Companies operating in the Healthcare Sector.

During the last ten years he has been responsible for creating significant shareholder value as President of Technology and Business Development for Biocompatibles PLC with an emphasis in cardiology, ophthalmology, and dermatology markets and products. Dr. Bowers was directly responsible for managing the R&D and Product Development process from product conception to delivery into the Market Place with several successful new products launched. He has proven knowledge and expertise in Strategic Product Development and in particular R&D Project Pipeline Management.

Dr Bowers Technical expertise covers Biomaterial Technology, Biomimesis, Life Sciences, Polymer Chemistry and Material Science Disciplines. He is the holder of 10 patents, several of which are Landmarks in Novel Biocompatible Materials and Coatings.

Educated to Post Doctoral Level in the UK, Dr. Bowers has lived in the US for the last five years. Dr. Bowers has a proven track record and has a strong understanding and appreciation of the cultural, socioeconomic and regulatory environment in Europe and the US. As well as extensive experience managing and working with transcontinental, multicultural project Teams.

Dr. Bowers currently resides in the UK with his Wife and two children.
